Emerge-Sonic Units are Supporting the Mission of Childhelp
Childhelp is one of the largest and oldest nonprofit organizations in the United States. It is dedicated to helping victims of child abuse and neglect, as well as at risk children, and families that are going through tough times in our country. Its main goals are to raise awareness, and generate as many backpacks and school supplies as possible for children K-12 across the country.
To accomplish these goals, Childhelp creates programs like "Speak Up Be Safe", "End FiveTooMany", and "Childhelp Backpack Drives". The Childhelp Backpack Drives help raise awareness and generates thousands of backpacks for children with families that are going through tough times across the country yearly. Together, we can take action against inaction!
They currently work with Walmart, Sam's Clubs, Buffalo Wild Wings, Jason's Deli, Juice Bars, Luby's, Fuddruckers, The Cheesecake Factory, Outback SteakHouse, Applebee's, Zoes Kitchen, P.F. Changs, CiCi's Pizza, Dave and Busters, Main Event, Starbucks, and a host of other food and retail locations, now including our Sonic Units. The idea is to have all of the Sonic locations on-board to help achieve their goals with raising awareness and generate as many backpacks as possible for children K - 12.
It costs nothing to participate, as Childhelp does not ask for contributions or donations. Instead, they ask their partners to allow a Childhelp Ambassador to visit their units and speak to customers about the program. They will be dressed professionally and will, of course, treat each and every one of your customers with the utmost respect.
No child should leave for school without a backpack. The Emerge! Sonic team is happy to support such a wonderful cause. Sonic has already scheduled several Childhelp Ambassador visits across our units. Children are the future and it’s our pleasure to support any program that helps them Emerge!
